No 01 — The Club

Built on tarmac, conversation and the occasional café stop.

We started in 2021 with a simple idea: a local club for riders who want to go further, faster — and have a laugh doing it. No egos, no drops, no stress. Just good company on quiet Hertfordshire roads.

Most weekends you'll find us heading out from Potters Bar at first light, threading through the lanes around Brookmans Park, Welwyn, Essendon and beyond. Distances flex with the season — 40km when the days are short, 80km when they're long.

Whatever the route, the rule is the same: we ride together, and we finish together.

No 02 — The Week

Sunday club ride. Every week. All year.

Club ride

The main event. 60–80km at a sociable pace before the rest of the world wakes up.

Midweek

Midweek day rides

A steadier spin with a café stop, arranged informally via the members' Spond group and WhatsApp. The day changes week to week — keep an eye on the chat.

Summer evenings

Evening + pub

A brisker loop after work when the evenings are light, organised on the WhatsApp group.

No 03 — The Meet

Hawkshead Road,
opposite Little Heath Church.

That's where it starts. Wheels turning by the posted time — never before, never long after. Arrive five minutes early, double-check your tyres, and we'll roll out together.

No 04 — The Cause

Over £2,000 raised
for the local foodbank.

Our riders are mostly locals — we care about the community we ride through. For two seasons running we've joined the Sportive UK Hertfordshire 100 and raised over £2,000 for the Potters Bar Foodbank.

The next charity ride sets off from Brookmans Park on 31st August. Come and join us.
